Sabrina Gonzalez

Chasing the Universes' Most Elusive Mysteries.

At 25, Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski is one of the world’s foremost ascending physicists. Through her groundbreaking work at MIT and Harvard University, Gonzalez is tackling some of physics’ hardest quandaries while inspiring a generation.

Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski is a Cuban-American physicist, who completed her undergraduate work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and is currently pursuing her Ph.D degree in high energy physics at Harvard University, under Andrew Strominger.

She was given academic freedom when in 2014 her and her colleagues discovered the “spin memory effect”, which may be able to detect/verify the net of effects of gravitational waves. Under that academic freedom, Gonzalez Pasterski also published her findings of the Pasterski-Strominger-Zhiboedov Triangle in Electromagnetic Memory in a 2015 individual paper. Stephen Hawking later cited her paper in 2016, while George Takei recognized her work on social media.

Gonzalez Pasterski’s involvement with the Let Girls Learn initiative has been recognized both domestically and internationally, ranging from White House invitations and published features to the Annenberg Foundation for her work in Cuba to the U.S Embassy in Moscow and Moscow Polytech.

Gonzalez Pasterski has received job offers from Blue Origin, an aerospace company founded by Amazon.com’s Jeff Bezos, and NASA. She is a 2015 Forbes 30 Under 30 All Star.
